does anyone ever wonder the good they could have done instead of giving a public talk for 45 or 30 minutes?
i remember giving my first public talk aged 18 and even then i was thinking ' this is just me making up half truths trying to blind people with jw propaganda'.
fast forward 15 years to when i gave my final public talk and i was so close to seeding the 30 minutes with ideas that could possibly wake people up but i never had the guts.. in that 30 minutes i could have done so much real good for a person instead of spreading this awful religions dogma.
when i used to do public talks--an hour log jobs--no script just a theme.
The habit then was to ask a member of the audience to read out loud a bible verse. I used to pick anyone nodding off to sleep.
Ive often wondered if i had given a 30 minutes talk--then smoothly repeated it all for the next 30 mins--would anyone have noticed ?

one thing i WOULD definitely do--if it does ever end up in a committee enquiry---is INSIST you accompany her. You are the head of the household--even if your not a JW.

but--your married ! Of course everyone expects you to live together. I doubt if an elder will ask her if she had sex before marriage--its none of their business.
She might get frowned upon for marrying an outsider--but she hasnt broken any laws.

so no one has accused her of anything at this stage--she hasnt had any elders nosing around--she hasnt been invited to a committee of 3 ?
So why doesnt she just keep quiet--and get on with married life. She can attend meetings if she wants to, and if she wants to pioneer again ( barf)--then she will find out then if she is in good standing--or not.

if it were me--i would go to each elder involved in this and tell them--individually--that if they d/f my wife--i will hunt them down and beat the shit out of them.
but then i am worldly.
on halloween night, police arrested two people who were dressed up individually as a battery and a firework rocket.
they charged one and let the other off.. police in london are investigating the theft of dogs throughout the city.. they don't have any leads.. i found a large box filled with kodak 35 mm camera film, and handed it in to the police.. they said they'd let me know if there were any developments.. police recovered a valuable stolen microscope.. they say they're looking into it.. yorkshire police can't establish what's wrong with the sat-navs in their new fleet of squad cars.. they're still looking for leeds.. police are investigating the theft of a perpetual motion device.
they say it's an ongoing inquiry.. the old ones are the best!

they always have high numbers preaching hours.
probably increase every decade.
when i was a regular pioneer ( mid 60's) i used to stop off and knock a door to start my time--knock softly and dont hang around. My time clock stopped when i got home. So that could be 8 hours--or 4 if half a day. In that time it could be playing pin ball machines in a coffee bar..or ten pin bowling. Shopping. Visiting elderly members of the congregation--usually around lunchtime.
If i needed to reach the magazine quota--i would hit the doors around 5 pm--as people were getting home from work. No long chat--sell 2 mags and away. Mag and book sales were quite profitable,-paid the petrol in my car. The only bible studies i conducted were with young unbaptised kids in the congregation--whilst their mum cooked dinner.
